Senator Shehu Sani of Kaduna Central has said that those who lower their ages either want to play in the Golden Eaglets’ team or want to be president.
The Golden Eaglets is the least national team side known officially as Under 17.
The team has always been plagued with reports of falsification of age and use of over-aged players.
The senator in a tweet on Thursday added his voice to the discourse. He, however, included the desire for office of the president as another reason why people falsify their ages.
Sani said: “Those who do clean shave and lower their ages in our country are people who either want to play for Golden Eaglets or want to be President.”
