Three more parties have joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in challenging the outcome of the February 13 presidential election which saw President Muhammadu Buhari re-elected.
This brings the number of petitions before the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja to four.
The petitioners are Hope Democratic Party (HDP) and Ambrose Owuru, the party’s presidential candidate filed on March 7; Coalition for Change (C4C) and Geff Ojinika, who claimed to be the party’s presidential candidate.
The last petition was filed on March 19 by Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) and Aminchi Habu, its presidential candidate.
The tribunal on Wednesday granted PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, permission to serve their petition of Buhari through his party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
