Saying “I love you” during sexual intercourse is guaranteed to make you and your partner feel satisfied, studies have found out.
Scientists from Chapman University, USA conducted an online survey which got tens of thousands of responses to determine what processes help partners in achieving sexual satisfaction.
The scientists analysed the answers of 39,000 married or cohabitating heterosexual men and women who had been with their partner for at least three years whose average age was 40-year-old for women and 46-year-old for men.
Some 75 per cent of satisfied men said the magic words “I love you” whilst they had sex and 74 per cent of satisfied women did the same.
The results showed that the more couples talk about love during sex, the more satisfied they are going to be.
Dr David Frederick, assistant professor of psychology at Chapman University, USA and lead author of the study found that the traditional lingerie and use of sex toys act is not as effective in achieving sexual satisfaction.
“However, evidence on the effectiveness of specific forms of variety, such as showering together or wearing lingerie or use of sex toys, is lacking.”
In addition, the studies reveals that praising your partner for something they did in bed and asking your partner for something you want can also enhance sexual satisfaction.
Still, the most important factor in setting the mood among men and women was saying “I love you”, which was done by three quarters of satisfied men and women.
Laughing about something funny that happened whilst making love can also ensure that you get sexual satisfaction.
