Thugs clad in army uniform snatch ballot box in Imo

Suspected hoodlums clad in military and police uniforms have allegedly snatched sensitive election materials in Aboh Mbaise local government area of Imo State.

The materials were kept at the Central School Mbutu in Aboh Mbaise from where they were supposed to be deployed to Mbutu, Umuhu, Ahiato and Enyiogugu polling units, an eyewitness told The Nation.

Voting has, however, commenced at Governor Rochas Okorocha’s polling unit in Ogboko, Ideato South Council Area.

As at time of filing this report, the governor is yet to arrive at his polling unit.
