Okafor’s Law, directed and produced by Omoni Oboli, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Monday, September 12, 2016.
Like others in the City to City segment of the Festival with spotlight on Lagos, the film premiered at the Isabel Bader Theatre.
Omoni, who Qed.ng learnt could not afford to bring her lead actor, Blossom Chukwujekwu, to Toronto, had two cast members, Richard Mofe-Damijo and Ufuoma McDermott, in attendance.
Her husband, Nnamdi Oboli, who arrived Canada in time for the screening was invited on stage for pre-screening pleasantries.
TIFF Rising Stars Somkele Iyamah-Idhalama and OC Ukeje and Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo and Judith Audu also represented Nollywood.
