A TikToker Nwakaego Okoye who labelled Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus a pimp has been sentenced to three years in prison for cyberstalking.
The sentence was pronounced by Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Wednesday.
Justice Oweibo convicted Miss Okoye after she pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of cyberstalking.
The judge, however, gave the convict an option of N150,000 fine in lieu of jail time because of her remorse and plea for mercy.
According to the charge, Okoye and another person (at large) conspired to commit the offence between December 2022 and July 2023 in Lagos.
The offence contravened Sections 24(1)(b)(2)(a)(c) and 27 of the Cybercrimes Act, 2015.

Okoye had said in a video posted on TikTok that “Eniola Badmus is a professional pimp; she connects small girls to big politicians all over Nigeria.”
She later confessed that she made the defamatory statement about Eniola Badmus because someone named Fortune Ibe promised to pay her N200,000.
The embattled woman added that she needed the money to pay her house rent.
“What happened was that a friend of mine, Fortune Ibe, said if I should come out and talk about Ms Eniola Badmus, he was going to send me N200k because I told him about my rent.
“That was what prompted the video. I am so sorry; I just did that because I was desperate to pay my house rent. I just did it because of the money,” Okoye said in an apology video she released before her prosecution and conviction.
