TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, popularly known as Seaking, has regained his freedom after being detained over alleged cyberbullying of the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Human rights activist and Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, who had been advocating for his release, announced on Monday on X that Seaking had been granted administrative bail.

Sowore, a former presidential candidate, disclosed that he signed the bail documents after rejecting an initial condition that required a Level 12 or 10 civil servant as surety.

“We are pleased to confirm that Olumide Ogunsanwo @seaking303 has been released from @PoliceNG custody after our prompt rejection of the initial bail condition requiring a Level 12 or 10 civil servant, resulting in a swift agreement and release on administrative bail, signed by me,” Sowore wrote, sharing a photo of Seaking smiling in a car.

Seaking was arrested in connection with comments he made during a live session in December 2024, where he criticised Pastor Adeboye over the church’s 100-day fasting directive.

Adeboye, during the RCCG’s February Holy Ghost service at the 3km by 3km auditorium in Simawa, Ogun State, called for Seaking’s release, stating that the TikToker was only fulfilling prophecy.

“God told us at the beginning of this year that mockers will be more active, they would become bolder, even hot,” Adeboye said.

“I heard that there was someone who lambasted me thoroughly because I asked my people to fast and pray for 100 days. I did not ask him to fast. I was only talking to my children.

“I was told that some people are so angry and they went and arrested him. Release him! He is fulfilling prophecy.”
