Singer Timi Dakolo has gotten a surprise 40th birthday party from family and friends.
The ‘Iyawo mi’ singer shared a video from the surprise party on Instagram on Sunday.
He said group ceo of Red Africa, Adebola Williams had invited him for the party saying it was for an ambassador.
“Hey Everybody,I want to report @debolalagos to you people. Debola called me on Wednesday that he wanted me to surprise an ambassador on Sunday and I agreed. And he kept insisting that I come with busola. I was like what’s ya own?
“Only to show up at @debolalagos house today and it was a surprise birthday for me. They have been planning birthday surprise for me and I have traveling every weekend. Even my kids were In on it.See Zoe quizzing me today,daddy I hope you are not going anywhere,” he wrote.
Omawumi, Cobhams Asuquo, Ali Baba, his wife Busola Dakolo and children were present at the party.
Timi turned 40 on January 20.
Sharing pictures on Instagram, he wrote, “Happy Birthday to me. I am so overjoyed. I can’t believe I am 40. It was just yesterday I was writing Waec and doing revision on my PN Okeke. It was just yesterday I was dreaming working in Shell and stay in shell camp.
“I just want to live a quality life and laugh as hard as I can. The 4th floor of life looks great.”
In another post he said, “This 4th floor is looking amazing already. The chorus Leader just want to Laugh.”
Timi listed items he wanted from his friends and fans for his birthday on January 18.
The eight items list included money, car (BMW), perfumes and grand piano.
Timi married Busola in 2012.
They have three children.
