Actor Timini Egbuson has playfully dubbed his senior colleagues Funke Akindele and Shaffy Bello as “the most eligible sugar mummies in the industry.”
The light-hearted moment unfolded at actress Sharon Ooja’s white wedding on June 29 where Funke, Shaffy, Timini, and comedian Bovi among others were in attendance.
In a candid video from the event, Timini is seen smiling at the camera as he makes his playful proclamation. Funke, clearly amused, playfully hit Timini while blushing, with Shaffy joining in the laughter.
The video then captures Bovi being quizzed by Funke on what Timini said. With a mischievous grin, Bovi repeated, “Timini said the most eligible sugar mummies in the industry,” prompting Shaffy to burst into laughter.
Timini, who has hinted at getting married very soon, was passing by Funke when he decided to compliment her and Shaffy.
Adding to the fun, Funke shared another video on Instagram on Monday, July 1 from the wedding. In the clip captioned ‘Happy new Month’, she can be seen lip-syncing to MC EazyMacdon’s ‘President General,’ with Shaffy looking on in amusement.
Earlier this year, Timini shared his experience about dating Nigerian girls while he was a guest on Menisms Podcast. He noted that dating Nigerian girls based outside the country was better than dating those living in Nigeria. Timini also stated that one of his biggest regrets is not getting married early.
The actor also praised himself, highlighting how he helps upcoming actors secure movie roles as an ‘OG.’ He explained that despite his efforts, they often lack gratitude and start seeing him as competition instead of appreciating his support.
