Barrister Jonah Okah, loyalist of former Governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, was Wednesday arrested by police in the state.
Okah’s arrest, according to Sylva, who was the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the last governorship election, is feared to be in connection with the lawyer’s recent Facebook posts, criticising incumbent Governor Seriake Dickson.
In an SMS he sent to Sylva’s media adviser, Doifie Buokoribo, Okah reportedly wrote: “I have just been picked up by the police from the office of the Commissioner of Police from Bayelsa State Command on the order suspected to be from the Bayelsa State Government. I’m being taken to SCID led by one SP Ani.”
