National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, met and exchanged pleasantries at the APC National Convention in Abuja on Saturday.
The meeting at the Eagle Square, Abuja came days after Ambode lost to Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the Lagos APC governorship primary.
Ambode’s loss was triggered by Tinubu’s withdrawal of support for the incumbent governor.
Former Governor Babatunde Fashola sat with Ambode and Sanwo-Olu at the convention which was for the affirmation of President Muhammadu Buhari as the APC presidential candidate for the 2019 election.
Fashola had a running battle with Tinubu over who succeeded him also in 2014 for the 2015 governorship election.
