Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu met with Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi on Friday in Abuja.
The two presidential hopefuls met at Tinubu’s Abuja residence days after a court ruled that Umahi’s defection to the APC meant that he could not continue being governor.
According to the court, the votes which Umahi got were for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and there was no constitutional provision that transfers votes from one political party to the other.
Meanwhile, Tinubu was represented at the installation ceremony of Lekan Balogun as Olubadan of Ibadan by a former deputy governor of Lagos, Femi Pedro.
Tinubu had in February met with top traditional rulers in the south-west including Balogun.
