Presidential aspirant Bola Tinubu on Monday converged a meeting with state governors in his party, the All Progressives Congress.
The meeting comes hours after Vice President Yemi Osinbajo declared his intention to contest for the presidency.
Tinubu is meeting with the governors in Kebbi State. Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi is the chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, a group made up of APC governors.
Osinbajo had managed to assemble 12 of 23 APC governors in Abuja on Sunday for his declaration. Some of the governors present at his announcement were Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, and Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna.
