Tobi Bakre has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming movie Farmer’s Bride, which is scheduled to hit cinemas nationwide on September 27.
In a collaborative Instagram post with co-stars Efe Irele, Femi Branch, and Mercy Aigbe, Tobi shared the trailer on Thursday.
The post was captioned, “Just when we thought love was enough, the drama began. Be sure to watch me embody this role in @filmonestudios’ captivating drama thriller, Farmer’s Bride. In cinemas nationwide from September 27th. Don’t miss it!”
He also highlighted the crew and cast involved in the project.
Produced by Filmone Studios, Farmer’s Bride is a gripping drama set in 1980s Ibadan.
The story follows Odun, a wealthy but lonely farmer, who seeks companionship through marriage to a young bride, Funmi.
However, their marriage is soon tested as Funmi struggles to find happiness and embarks on a forbidden affair with Odun’s nephew. The consequences of their choices unravel into a haunting tale of love, betrayal, and the supernatural.
The film features a stellar cast, including Gbubemi Ejeye and Wumi Toriola, and is directed by Adebayo Tijani and Jack’enneth Opukeme.
