Social media personality and author, Toke Makinwa, has accused a bodyguard attached to Nigerian-born British actor, John Boyega, of assaulting her at a restaurant.
Posting on Instagram early on Thursday morning, the socialite claimed a waiter at the restaurant got her and a friend table next to another one which had two people on it.
As she and her friend made to a woman sitting at the next table said the spot was reserved for some friends who will be arriving soon.
Toke said the waiter refused to listen to the woman and secured the spot for her and her friend.
The woman who claimed the seats were occupied returned a few minutes later with a man who happened to be John Boyega’s Nigerian chaperone.
Toke claimed that the man in question verbally assaulted her, grabbed her shoulder and demanded that they should get up because the spot was already reserved.
She added that the same man had harassed her at the VIP section at Wizkid’s concert in December, saying where she sat was reserved for John Boyega.
“I was bullied tonight and I have never in my 33 years on earth watched a man act so childish and disrespectful over a table that in 3/4 hours is done,” the On Becoming… author wrote.
She also knocked the owners of the restaurant for allegedly condoning such assault and humiliation and promised never to return there ever again.
Boyega, who is in Nigeria to promote Star Wars: The Last Jedi has had a lot of wonderful experience in his ancestral land.
Apart from the Wizkid concert, he also attended Rhythm Unplugged in December.
He has taken pictures with the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Nike Davies-Okundaye, Femi Kuti and cast of Fela and the Kalakuta Queens.
The Half of a Yellow Sun actor caught up Ghanaian-born British rapper, Big Shaq, when the ‘Man’s Not Hot’ star performed at Rhythm Unplugged.
Toke was recently caught on video saying she almost slept with Big Shaq.
