Media personality Toke Makinwa has declared her unyielding stance on maintaining her lifestyle despite Nigeria’s current economic challenges.
Taking to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, Toke expressed that she refuses to adjust her standard of living regardless of the nation’s financial turmoil.
Nigeria is currently experiencing one of its worst economic downturns in recent years, prompting some citizens to consider protests over the worsening conditions and what they consider bad governance.
Amid this crisis, the media personality asserted her resilience, stating that she will never settle for less.
In her post, she said, “I told you, all my friends and loved ones in this season, no matter how tough the economy of the jungle gets, the lion will never eat grass.
“We are the children of the lion of the tribe of Judah. Do you know what that means? I don’t care what the economy is saying, we don’t settle for less. Do you know who our father is? We get backing.”
This declaration follows an incident where Toke took a swipe at unnamed married women who once judged her.
She noted how some of these women, despite being married, remain available to other men. Nevertheless, Toke expressed her continued love and grace towards them.
