Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has been criticised on social media for her comments on how women should handle cases of cheating partners.
The 35-year-old on Wednesday on Twitter made reference to a video she saw of a woman assaulting her husband’s lover at a mall.
Toke, who is divorced, said the woman should have put her energy in confronting her husband who broke his marital vows instead of fighting his lover.
“I think the whole marriage concept of ‘owning’ your partner is flawed. You do not own anyone, you are not responsible for another’s action, it should not drive you mad,” she said.
Her comments appeared not to have sat well with some Twitter users.
