Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile has been honoured in a comic book.
The book Girls Can Fly was launched on Friday with her parents in attendance.
Also in attendance were the Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed and a representative of the Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.
“She represents the best & the height our youth can attain. Even in death she is a champ,” a tweet by Gboyega Akosile chief press secretary to Lagos State governor read.
Also present at the event themed ‘My Nigerian Dream’ was the Minister of Women Affairs Pauline Tallen.
Arotile died on July 14 aged 24 at the NAF base in Kaduna following an accident.
