Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, on Monday confirmed her separation from husband, Oladunni Churchill, ending weeks of media speculation.
The mother of one made the declaration in response to a fan’s open letter on Instagram.
“When a woman leaves her husband, she takes her child because absolutely nothing else matters to her but the child. This is what I did and I happily give all access for his father to see him,” she wrote.
The 31-year-old also stated that since she left with her son, her husband has not tried to see the kid.
Although the actress claimed to have blocked Oladunni’s access to her for the sake of her “emotional stability”, she maintained that there were several other channels her husband of 17 months could go through to see his son.
The professed born again actress also admonished the “concerned fan” not to indirectly throw “concerned” shades at her but to pray for her.
She categorically stated that what went on in her marriage was her personal life and that no one is privy to the happenings behind closed doors except what is shared in public.
Despite it all she went ahead to pray for the fan.
“God bless you immensely for even thinking about my family, God has never failed, God never sleeps nor slumbers, He is a just God. He never brings us this far to leave us, We will be ok,” she said.
Tonto Dikeh married Oladunni Churchill in 2015 and was delivered of a son, Andre Omodayo Churchill, in February 2016.
The actress had written during their wedding anniversary in August: “My Life has been greatly decorated since I met you. You strive for me to be a better person everyday of your life and that’s something that amazes me.
“I deserve you. I deserve all of the love, care and friendship we share. I deserve the life I have with you. We are blessing to each other.”
She concluded that “can’t wait to marry you again before God…”
Tonto tried so hard to present a picture of perfect marriage through public display of affection and posting pictures of expensive gifts from her husband on social media.
