Chairman of the United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) Group, Tony Elumelu, is heading back to Nigeria after participating in the maiden UK-Africa Investment Summit held in the United Kingdom.
Mr Elumelu announced in a tweet on Wednesday that he was returning to Nigeria.
“Finally heading back home #TOEWay #HolidayOver #WorkMode #2020,” he said.
At the summit, Elumelu addressed the issue of inequality, importance of Africapitalism, impact-investing and how it guides the way UBA does business.
The founder of Heirs Holdings also stated that youths of Africa are its biggest assets and they must be prioritised and empowered.
“The youth population in Africa is our biggest resource – prioritising the youth is crucial for Africa’s future,” he said.
Elumelu met President Muhammadu Buhari and his team at the summit.
