Businessman and philanthropist Tony Elumelu has thanked the outgoing executive director of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) Segun Awolowo for supporting the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) entrepreneurship programme with N400 million.
Mr Awolowo exists his role on Friday after 10 years.
Elumelu said in an Instagram post that Awolowo’s impact would be remembered.
“Well done for the good you did in office, especially the N400,000,000 funding of Nigerian entrepreneurs through TEF. Your impact will be remembered,” the chairman of UBA Group wrote.
Elumelu recently paid a courtesy visit to the NEPC headquarters in Abuja.
NEPC partnered with TEF to disburse N400 million to promote export inclusion, market access, and minimise logistical and export trade facilitation challenges for TEF Nigerian entrepreneurs.
