Chinyemugo Obiekwugo, niece of businessman and philanthropist Tony Elumelu, has graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York, United States.
The graduate is the daughter of Mr Elumelu’s sister Agatha Elumelu-Obiekwugo. She is the creative director at her fashion brand Mugo based in New York.
Mrs Elumelu-Obiekwugo shared photos and videos of the graduation ceremony on Instagram on Monday.
Expressing her joy, she said God had put laughter in her mouth.
“Chinyemugo graduates What can I say??? GLORY BE TO GOD. The Lord has indeed put laughter in my mouth and whoever hears it will laugh and rejoice with me. Hallelujah,” she wrote.
Although Elumelu was not at the occasion his wife Awele was.
Commenting on her aunt’s post, Elumelu’s daughter Oge who graduated from London School of Economics last year wrote, “Thank God Aunty.”
