Celebrity broadcaster, Tolu Oniru-Demuren,
popularly known as Toolz, has finally confirmed the birth of her son, weeks
after the news broke on social media.
Narrating her journey to motherhood in an
Instagram post on Monday, the 36-year-old said to God: “For this child I have
prayed and You heard my cry. For this baby I had faith and You gave new life.”
Recalling the pain of losing her first child,
she added: “This time last year, I would often cry myself to sleep thinking
about the baby we lost, but now I can’t sleep because I can’t stop staring at
the most precious gift God has given me this year.”
The post comes with a video of her in
different stages of pregnancy.
It also shows her husband, Tunde Demuren, holding
the baby, whose face has not been unveiled.
“I still can’t believe I’m a mummy,” she went on.
Toolz opened up about her miscarriage in an interview with Genevieve magazine earlier this year.
She described her harrowing experience: “From
the point we found out something was wrong till when the process was over was
quite harrowing, but the parts that really broke me were going through the pain
of labour knowing my baby was already gone.
“I also had a mini-break down when I had to
get a death certificate so we could have a burial.
“I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much in my
life.”
She launched a lingerie line named Sablier for plus-size women in May just about the time many were speculating that she was pregnant with another child.
