Popular R&B duo of identical twin brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye, are at the top of the list. They are the richest entertainers in Nigeria today and the richest twin celebrities in Africa. With album sales, endorsement deals and investments, this comes as no great surprise. Even after their misunderstanding and family drama, they came back together stronger with the release of Bank Alert which got over one million views in just five days of its release.
2. 2face Idibia
2Baba, as he is now called, is the richest solo entertainer in Nigeria, with a net worth of around N600 million. He has raked in money from endorsement deals from Airtel and Guinness but he is also an entrepreneur. The Jos born father-of-six has also had a consistently successful music career.
3. Genevieve Nnaji
Although this actress is not often seen on the big screen anymore, she holds the record for the celebrity with the highest endorsement deals from the likes of Etisalat, Amstel Malta, Lux and Polo. The 37-year-old is sure entitled to this position. She also produced her own movie in 2015 titled Road to Yesterday.
4. D’banj
Oladapo Oyebanjo definitely befits this category. Although his deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music tanked and the hits seems to be drying off, the 36-year-old ‘Oliver Twist’ has gone on to become an entrepreneur. His multiple endorsements, collaboration with Bank of Industry and the CREAM project keep his bank account healthy.
5. Don Jazzy
Record producer, musician and CEO of Mavin Records, Michael Collins Ajereh, also makes this list. In 2013, the media was buzzing when Don Jazzy posted a picture of him drinking the worlds most expensive champagne, Goût de Diamants, worth $2 million. The singer/songwriter has dropped one hit after another and has endorsement deals from Johnny Walker, Loya Milk, Samsung and many more.
