Renowned music evangelist, Tope Alabi, on Friday celebrated the 30th anniversary of her marriage to Soji Alabi.
In messages posted on Instagram, the 48-year-old declared her love for her husband while thanking God for His goodness over her life.
“When I think of God’s goodness over my life, I shout halleluyah.
“God blessed me with a Man that matched my destiny and glory.
“Today marks another anniversary of the day he took me to the Alter to say ‘I Love You’. Join me to celebrate God’s faithfulness. Glory be to God,” she wrote in the two posts.
Agbo Jesu, as she is fondly called, Tope Alabi hinted in an interview with PUNCH earlier this year that she got married as a virgin, revealing that her mother checked for her virginity every three months.
“When I newly got married to my husband, we went to the National Theatre in Lagos to watch a movie and actors like Yinka Quadri, Ebun Oloyede, among others were there. When they saw my husband, they congratulated him and told him that he had chosen a good and exemplary wife. That made my husband quite happy,” she told her interviewer.
She described her husband as gentle, conservative and reserved.
“I like the way he is because we have opposite characters. I spend and shop a lot but he is someone who believes in saving money. At every point, he knows what he is doing,” she added.
The ‘Logan Ti Ode’ celebrated her husband on his birthday on April 10, urging her fans and well-wishers to do the same.
