Canadian professional basketball team, Toronto Raptors, beat the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA finals to win their first championship.
The Raptors overcame the Warriors 114-110 to take the best-of-seven series 4-2, despite Golden State coming close to forcing a seventh game.
In a game where the Warriors defense stifled Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors were led by their point guards, Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet.
Lowry kicked things off by scoring the Raptors first 11 points and finished with 26.
VanVleet carried the load in the fourth quarter, scoring 12 of his 22 in the final frame.
Former Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday, paid a visit to the training facility of the Raptors.
The politician disclosed this in an Instagram post on Thursday as well as his meeting with Nigerian, Masai Ujiri, who serves as the president of the organization.
