Actress-turned-filmmaker Toyin Abraham has announced that her latest film Malaika has made N284m in the cinema as she aims to reach N300m.
The mother of one shared the good news in an Instagram post on Monday in which she posted a photo collage chronicling her journey into cinema and the figures she has made from her movies.
Toyin started with Alakada Reloaded which made over 74 million naira in the cinema followed by The Ghost and the Tout and Fate of Alakada which made over 77 million and 113 million naira respectively.
The Ghost and the Tout Too made 134 million naira while Ijakumo made 278 million naira at the box office.
Captioning the post, Toyin Abraham wrote: “Road to 300M🤜🤜🤜GOD and YOUMalaika is still showing in all cinemas in Nigeria.
“Hits top 10 highest grossing Nigeria film of all time.”

Malaika premiered at the cinema on December 22, 2023.
The film stars Toyin Abraham, Emeka Ike, Abike Shugaa, Muyiwa Ademola, Carter Efe, Ibrahim Chatta, Uzor Arukwe and Ruby Ojiakor.
