Actress Toyin Abraham has refuted an allegation that she got the mother of one of her critics arrested.

The drama unfolded in the late hours of Tuesday when a netizen took to X, formerly known as Twitter, alleging that Toyin had his mother detained.

The netizen named El Jefe wrote, “It’s one thing to make a tweet and you arrest me. It’s another thing to arrest me for not even making a single comment @toyin_abraham1. You picked my mom up from her shop to Panti police station for something I didn’t even do. God will judge you.”

He continued his accusations with another post, saying, “You made my mom cry today for something I didn’t even do! You will face your own consequences!”

He also questioned, “How did I bully you and your son? Where did I say your son will die?”

In response, an X user named Prince Adeshina clarified that the woman alleged to have been arrested actually went to a police station and refused to leave without her son’s friend named Big Ayo, one of Toyin’s alleged critics.

Early on Wednesday, another X user, Danny, sarcastically encouraged Toyin to send the police to arrest all her critics, calling her “very shameless.”

Toyin responded by stating that while she could tolerate insults directed at her, she would not accept lies or curses aimed at her children.

She denied the arrest allegations, stating, “I never and will never arrest anyone’s mum. I made a report at cybercrime as a citizen.”

Danny further threatened to initiate a mass reporting campaign against Toyin’s Instagram page and her movies on Netflix, asking others to compile a list of her films on Netflix and Prime Video for targeted complaints.
