Actress-turned-filmmaker Toyin Abraham and her Malaika co-star Abike Shugaa have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
QEDNG’s check on their Instagram accounts on Friday revealed that the actresses are no longer following each other on the platform.
QEDNG also observed that Abike has stopped promoting Malaika on her Instagram account. Her last post about Malaika was on December 29, 2023.
The reason for the recent development is not yet known but many have speculated that Toyin Abraham is upset because Abike promoted Funke Akindele latest film A Tribe Called Judah which premiered seven days after Malaika.
Others have begun storming the comment section of her Instagram post to accuse her of failing to promote the film despite being a lead cast.

Abike who plays the character Chichi spoke to QEDNG at the movie premiere about her relationship with Toyin.
“The relationship with mama Toyin Abraham, I don’t think anybody could foresee the kind of relationship we have we always have conversations, we always have to sit together, she always reminds me why I am Chichi instead of being Abike. She always reminded me why she is playing my stepmother,” she said.
