Actress Toyin Abraham has hinted she would patronise the “personal market shopper” Esther Mensah aka Aunty Esther.
The shopper began trending on social media on Tuesday and got the attention of many including Toyin.
Mensah says she buys food items from Mile 12 and other large markets in Lagos and delivers to any location in Nigeria and abroad.
Reacting to Aunty Esther’s new found fame, Toyin tweeted on Tuesday that Aunty Esther would help her do shopping soon.
She added, “The story of Aunty Esther is a story of hard work, resilience and dignity in labour. Her story is the story of every average Nigerian that will not bend or bow till they get the work done. Conquering difficult situation and doing all with a smile.
“Nigerians again have shown the power of unity irrespective of tribe and religion to support her and make her feel loved.
“This shows the beauty in our diversity and how we can function better as a unit with one voice. I love this country!”
On Aunty Esther’s Twitter page, there are photos of her carrying tomatoes and vegetables excitedly on her head.
As of Tuesday, she already had over 23,000 Twitter followers.
