Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has declared her support for the Nigerian Super Eagles as they play against Liberia in the 2022 FIFA world cup qualifying match on Friday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
The Alakada star made this known in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“We are rooting for the super eagles as they take on Liberia at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Friday, September 3rd, 2021. In addition, on September 7, 2021, they will play their second qualifying game against Cape Verde on the beautiful island country of Cape Verde,” she wrote.
Nigeria has previously played the Lone Stars 14 times across all competitions, winning nine times.
The last time Nigeria lost to Liberia was in July 2000 during a world cup qualifying campaign, with Christopher Wreh scoring twice.
