Wife of former Senate President Toyin Saraki on Monday congratulated senior pastor of House on the Rock Church Paul Adefarasin on receiving Forbes Best of Africa award for leadership and philanthropy.
Another Nigerian Leo Ekeh was part of recipients of the award last week.
In an Instagram post, Mrs Saraki took note of Adefarasin’s keynote speech at the event, saying it spurred her and others to improve their management skills.
She said, “It is with deep-seated admiration, kinship and pride that I congratulate a committed compatriot and dear friend, The Rev’d Paul Adefarasin (@pauladefarasin) on his recent Forbes Best of Africa Award recognising his esteemed leadership and philanthropy.
“Pastor Paul’s hearkening call to leadership, shared during the Foreign Investment Network Roundtable last week, motivates us – to practice on growing both our management skills and culturing a humane heart – pillars of the transformative and emboldened leadership needed to take on the ‘challenges of Africa’ and to bring about the social change requisite for progress and progression, from the highest office in the nation to the private corridors of our households.”
Mrs Saraki is also involved in philanthropy as the founder and president of The Wellbeing Foundation Africa.
She is a global advocate for women and children’s health and empowerment.
