Saraki’s brother-in-law Dapo Ojora buried in Lagos

Bukola Saraki and Toyin Saraki at Dapo Ojora funeral

Dapo Ojora, brother-in-law of former Senate President Bukola Saraki, has been buried in Lagos.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Lagos.

Dapo, fondly called Baba Polo and Dog Whisperer, died after a shooting incident at his Ikoyi, Lagos home.

His remains were ferried in a see-through hearse to the church where they were received by younger brother Adeyinka Ojora.

The service was coordinated by Very Rev. Adebola Ojofeitimi who was assisted by many other clergy men.

Proceedings began with the arrival of Ojora’s wife Patricia, their children, sister Toyin and her husband Senator Bukola Saraki.

It was immediately followed by the singing of the opening hymn ‘God Moves In A Mysterious Way.’

The soulful service witnessed a wondrous solo rendition of ‘Abide With Me’ by Joseph Oparamanuike after which came a sermon.

Tears rolled down when Dapo’s remains were lowered to the ground at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos.

He was buried in a vault just beside elder brother Adegboyega Ojora who died nine years ago.

The event was attended by members of the Ojora family, Saraki family, Peter Obi, Atedo Peterside, Bimbo Ogunbanjo, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Mary Inegbese, Lady Maiden Ibru, the Akinkugbe family, Ade Laoye, Bayo Amusan, Lekan Bakare, representatives of Oba of Lagos and Oniru of Iruland.

Ojora was initial scheduled for burial last week but his family postponed it by one week for further investigation into his death.

The polo lover was son of corporate guru Adekunle Ojora.
