Toyosi Etim-Effiong, media personality and wife of actor Daniel Etim Effiong, has extended her praise and support to actress Uche Jombo.
In her Instagram post on Thursday, Toyosi shared a picture of herself with Uche followed by a second image highlighting the filmmaker’s upcoming movie, Onyegwu, set to premiere on Prime Video this Friday.
Toyosi wrote, “There’s something about @UcheJombo that resonates. She’s tenacious in a non-aggressive way, she’s genuine, minds her business and controls her narrative!
“Sis, I’m excited about this directional path you’re on and I can’t wait for the world to see #Onyegwu tomorrow. Congratulations, well done.”
Earlier in July, Toyosi curated a panel discussion at the Essence Film Festival 2024.
The panel dissected the topic ‘Building Bridges: Collaborating with Nollywood for Global Success’. Among the panelists were Nollywood stars such as Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Uche Jombo, Simisola Gbadamosi, and Eso Dike.
They shared their experiences and insights, emphasising the importance of cross-cultural collaboration, crafting compelling local stories, and staying true to one’s roots.
The Essence Film Festival was held from July 5 to 7, 2024.
