Edo State University, Uzairue has awarded a honorary doctorate in business administration to the president and group chief executive officer of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group) Owen Omogiafo.
Mrs Omogiafo was presented the award at the varsity’s fifth convocation ceremony on Saturday.
Present at the occasion was Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki and other dignitaries.
The Transcorp boss, on Sunday, posted a video on Instagram which captured the moment she arrived in Benin, met Mr Obaseki, unveiled the school’s signage, and received the award among others.
“East or West, Home is best. It was an honour to be awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree in Business Administration by the Edo State University, alongside my friend and venture capital extraordinaire, Dr. Eric Idiahi,” she wrote.

Omogiafo thanked Obaseki and the university for the recognition.
