The Nigerian winger has signed a two-year contract extension with Newcastle and is immediately loaned to Championship side, Cardiff.

The 23-year-old who scored four goals in 67 appearances for Newcastle last term will stay with the bluebirds for the entirety of the 2015/16 Championship season.

“We’re delighted to have Sammy on board, having handpicked him specifically for his creativity and skill,” Cardiff CEO, Ken Choo, told the Welsh club’s official website.

Emmanuel Emenike has joined Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a season-long loan from Fenerbahce.

The Nigeria international’s move to the UAE came after he signed a one-year contract extension with the Turkish club.

Having endured a torrid 2014/15 campaign with the Yellow Canaries, in which he featured sparingly scoring just four times, the former Spartak Moscow man made the switch in search of a fresh challenge.

Joel Obi has joined Italian Serie A side, Torino, from boyhood club Inter Milan.

The skilful, left-sided midfielder cost the Turin club a fee in the region of €2.3 million, according to toronews.net.

The 24-year-old Nigeria star, who has played 16 games for the Super Eagles, failed to establish himself at Inter Milan despite coming through the club’s youth ranks.
