The Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC) headed by Pastor Tunde Bakare has announced the activities for a weeklong celebration of its overseer who will turn 70 on November 11, 2024.
The celebration will begin on November 10 with an “Appreciation Sunday by Affinity Groups” in CGCC, according to a statement released by a spokesman of the church’s publicity team Kayode Ladeinde.
On November 11, there will be a birthday thanksgiving service and book presentation.
During the event, a special thanksgiving service will be held in honour of Bakare’s life and ministry.
The celebrant will also unveil his latest book The Last, But Definitely Not The Least —The Autobiography of Pastor Tunde Bakare which offers insights into his experiences, spiritual journey, socio-political interventions, and vision for the nation and the world.
On November 12, there will be a Law Endowment Fund launch and solar project commissioning at the University of Lagos themed “Let There Be Light”.
UNILAG, the celebrant’s alma mater, will witness the launch of the fund and the commissioning of a solar system for the Department of Law to promote legal education and empower future leaders in the field of justice and governance.
A wellness and health talk, themed “A formula for a sickness-free life” to be delivered by Dr. Susana Adams, will take place on November 13, 2024.
The inaugural lecture by The Citadel Centre for Development will be held on November 15, 2024.
The lecture will x-ray the recent Supreme Court decision on local government autonomy.
The statement further said Prof. Taiwo Osipitan (SAN) will be the guest lecturer, Wole Olanipekun (SAN) will be the chairman of the occasion and Reuben Abati will moderate the panel session.
The weeklong activities will be concluded with a thanksgiving service at CGCC on November 17, 2023.
