Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya and veteran cinematographer, Tunde Kelani, will screen movies at the 2019 edition of the IREP Film Festival.
This was announced in a statement by the organisers made available to QED.NG.
Working with the festival theme of Africa in Self-conversation, Tunde Kelani will be screening his latest work, Yoruba Beyond Borders, which he directed and produced with long-time collaborator, Bola Bello.
Beverly Naya’s offering will explore through identities the meaning of beauty in all the different shades of black.
Filmmaker and former Director General of the Nigeria Film Corporation (NFC) , Afolabi Adesanya, will also be presenting his biopic titled: Gbenga Sonuga: Artist, Activist, Administrator.
It will follow the life of the named party who is a former director of the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture, and now traditional ruler, Fadeseewa of Simawa Autonomous Kingdom, near Sagamu.
Writer and literary critic, Pius Adesanmi, and art curator, Bisi Silva, will receive tributes at the 2019 edition of the iREPRESENT International Documentary Film Festival (iREP).
They are among a group of deceased Nigerians who will be honoured at the festival.
