Wunmi met Tunde in 1998 while she was an undergraduate at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) where she was pursuing a degree in philosophy.
Tunde, then an undergraduate of Lagos State University (LASU), was studying history education.
Wunmi joined the UNILAG band named Turning Point which had Tunde as lead singer.
The two became friends. The band separated when its members graduated but Tunde and Wunmi stayed together.
