Group managing director and chief executive officer of TVC Communications Victoria Ajayi on Monday paid a visit to Lagos State Governor Babajdie Sanwo-Olu.
Mrs Ajayi and her management team visited the governor at Lagos House, Alausa.
Mr Sanwo-Olu shared photos of the visit on social media, saying he stressed, during the meeting, the role of the media in deepening democracy.
“Today, I welcomed the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TVC Communication, Mrs. Victoria Ajayi, along with her management team, to Lagos House, Alausa,” the governor wrote.
“During our meeting, I reiterated the important role the media plays in deepening democracy. I urged them to continue ensuring that the entire country stays well-informed while holding leadership accountable for good governance.”
Victoria Ajayi was presented Lagos State Government plaque by the governor.
On her entourage were the general manager of Max FM, Marvin Arimi; director of current and public affairs (TVC News), Babajide Kolade-Otitoju; and director of people, culture, experience and operations, TVC Communications, Kemi Shonubi.
Those who joined Sanwo-Olu in welcoming the guests to the Lagos House were Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso; commissioner for agriculture and food systems, Abisola Olusanya; special adviser to the governor on media and publicity, Gboyega Akosile; and commissioner for environment, Tokunbo Wahab.
Ajayi took over as MD on May 1, 2024, after Andrew Hanlon stepped down following seven years leading one of Nigeria’s largest media companies.
She is a member of the Institute of Directors and The Society for Corporate Governance, Nigeria.
Ajayi is also a fellow of ACCA with an MBA from IESE Business School.
