Manchester City’s unbeaten run across all competitions came to an end after 28 games on Wednesday.
Pep Guardiola’s side had swept aside every challenge that came their way until the Champions League trip to Ukraine when they succumbed to a shocking 2-1 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk.
Nonetheless, Pep Guardiola’s side finished as group winners with 15 points.
Rival fans were, however, very much pleased with the club’s downfall, especially with the Manchester derby around the corner.
Here’s how few reacted on Twitter.
Manchester City can and will be beaten.

It may sound stupid but the secret to beat Manchester City is to score two goals first and be clinical with your chances, don’t score first and just sit back.

So only one team has prevented Manchester City from scoring this season – Wolves – & only one has actually beaten them – Shakhtar. Both of which have Portuguese managers! 🇵🇹🇵🇹

Shakhtar Donetsk become the first side to inflict defeat on Man City this season. Can Man Utd become the second on Sunday? pic.twitter.com/ekpUPIv6w2
