Twitter mocks Manchester United for remaining sixth despite Watford win
A sixth-place finish is looking like a possibility for Manchester United this season.
This is because the Red Devils have clung to that same position on the log despite their 16-game unbeaten streak.
United continued their impressive run by beating Watford 2-0 on Saturday – thanks to goals from Juan Mata and Anthony Martial.
The victory took Jose Mourinho’s team to fifth with 48 points temporarily above Liverpool.
However, the Reds’ 2-0 win against Tottenham took them up to fourth ahead of Manchester City who have a game in hand with United dropping to their famous sixth position.
As expected, fans of rival teams took to social media platform, Twitter, to mock the ordeal of the club.
Even the EFCC joined in the mockery a day before the match.
We love you too. A look at your header indicates you used your 6th sense in locating the 4th FC tweet. Intriguing intuition. Thumbs up. https://t.co/D0PbRJabVr
