Two people have been reportedly killed when an uncompleted building collapsed at NICON Town Estate, off Admiralty way, Lekki in Lagos around 11.40am on Thursday.
The two men were identified simply as Tasiu and Abdulahi.
Confirming the incident, General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Adesina Tiamiyu, said a man identified as Yakub “sustained some injuries from the collapse and had been taken to the hospital.”
Tiamiyu added that the building has been sealed for investigative purpose.
“The agency sealed the building for further investigation to be carried out by the appropriate authorities,” he said.
The collapse was said to have occurred after a part of the roof, which was under construction, caved in while workers were mixing concrete.
