Two employees of Shell Nigeria in Rivers State who were kidnapped last Thursday along Ahoada-Ndele-Rumuji-Emohua axis of East-West road, Rivers, have been freed.
Police in the state said on Tuesday evening that the victims who are believed to be senior staff members of Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) were freed on Tuesday.
A police escort and the driver of the vehicle were killed on that fateful day on their way from Bayelsa State on official trip.
Rivers police spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni, said the Shell staff are receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
He also said that four NEMA officials kidnapped in Abua/Odual area in the state last Monday were yet to be rescued.
Mr Omoni, however, assured that efforts have been intensified to ensure their release.
