Musician and photographer, TY Bello, has embarked on 100 portraits of African women to mark International Women’s Day.
The 41-year-old launched her “#100PortraitsByTYBello” campaign on Instagram on Friday as the world celebrates women.
The former official photographer for ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has included several Nigerian women in her campaign such as Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji, Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu, among others.
TY Bello also included Olajumoke Orisaguna, a bread seller whom she turned into a model.
She introduced each image with the caption, “I am a woman…beautifully, proudly and uniquely. Today, I celebrate my essence. Happy International women’s day.”
