Founder of Made Men Music Group, Ubi Franklin, has criticised the Federal Government for vowing to make a scapegoat of pop singer, Tekno, in teaching that social values should be upheld.
Ubi, in an Instagram post on Monday, asked how expressing one’s craft was a threat to national security.

“You see this country Nigeria? Smh 🤦♂️ I don tire. How can expressing your craft through a music video be a Threat to National Security?. A 28 year old with no Gun? Very few making Nigeria/Nigerians proud ?” he wrote.
Tekno had last Thursday released the controversial video of his single ‘Agege’ featuring rapper, Zlatan Ibile, with semi-nude women dancing in a transparent truck on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos.
Videos of the incident showing four oiled girls in lingerie dancing around a pole with Tekno throwing foreign currency at them and smacking their butts went viral on social media a fortnight ago.
The singer was subsequently grilled for the incident at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Panti, Yaba.

The Federal Government has slammed the artiste for releasing the video despite ongoing investigation.
Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture, Segun Runsewe, said in a statement on Sunday that Tekno would be made a scapegoat “to teach others a serious lesson.”

The statement said: “No single person is bigger than Nigeria; whether he likes it or not, we are going to use him as a scapegoat to send strong signals that this government does not tolerate nonsense and immorality, but discipline, which is our moral principle.
“Now that he has released the shameful video when investigation is still ongoing, we are going to inform security agencies to place him on their watch list, because his action is a threat to national security and a bad influence on Nigerian youths.

“We are committed to exposing proponents of this kind of offensive sights and videos. We warn that nudity is not part of our culture and should not be tolerated. The Federal Government will henceforth fish out clubs for nude dancers across the country for their promoters to face prosecution.”
