Chief Medical Director (CMD), University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Professor Jesse Otegbayo, has raised alarm over a fake Instagram account with the name – Jesse A. Otegbayo.
He said in a disclaimer posted on Twitter on Friday that the operators of the account might have reached out to the public for fraudulent purposes.
“My attention has been drawn to an Instagram account named ‘Jesse A Otegbayo’ operated by fraudsters who may have been communicating with unsuspecting members of the public to cynical ends,” he wrote.
He advised members of the public “to be wary of this Instagram account and the unscrupulous acts that it may be used to propagate.”
Otegbayo tested negative to the coronavirus in early April after initially testing positive.
