Actress Uche Jombo has expressed her gratitude to those who showed up in large numbers to watch her film Onyegwu at the 12th edition of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
Onyewgu, directed by Uche, premiered at the festival on Thursday evening and many were left outside as the cinema could not contain the crowd that showed up to watch the film.
Overwhelmed by the massive turnout, Uche posted a video of some of her colleagues who attended the event, expressing gratitude to everyone.
She wrote: “I am overwhelmed. I’m coming!! Still emotional from the love! This CAST This CREW. THANK YOU.
“To my colleagues THANK YOU! I’m making a lot of calls this morning for the people who showed up and couldn’t see the film because of lack of seats, I do NOT take this goodwill and love for granted…EVER! Thank you. God bless you.”
