Udo Udoma pledges Seplat’s commitment to strengthening partnership with Akwa Ibom

Chairman of Seplat Energy Plc Senator Udo Udoma has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to partnering with the Akwa Ibom State Government to foster sustainable development.

Udoma stated this during a recent visit to Governor Umo Eno in Uyo.

The visit included discussions about Seplat Energy Offshore Limited’s recent acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, which will now operate as Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited (SEPNU), retaining all assets and liabilities from the previous entity.

Udoma emphasised Seplat’s role as a leading indigenous oil and gas producer, stating, “Our objective is to significantly contribute towards meeting Nigeria’s strategic oil and gas aspirations while supporting the socio-economic development of the state.”

He expressed confidence that through collaborative efforts, the partnership would yield substantial economic and social benefits for Akwa Ibom and its communities.

Governor Eno welcomed the Seplat delegation, which included Group CEO Roger Brown and managing director Oladotun Isiaka.

He assured them of the state government’s support in creating an enabling environment for business operations.

Eno expressed optimism that this collaboration would enhance local economic growth and promote sustainable development for the people of Akwa Ibom.
