Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has re-appointed Ukpong Akpabio, a relative to former governor of the state, Godswill Akpabio, as commissioner.
Ukpong was first appointed late into the first tenure of Mr Emmanuel after another relative of Mr Akpabio, Ibanga, was sacked as Commissioner for Labour, Productivity and Manpower Planning.
Ukpong was among the list of 19 commissioner nominees and two special advisers which the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly received on Tuesday for screening and confirmation.
The other commissioner nominees include: Akan Okon, Ime Ekpo, Nse Essien, Uwemedimo Nwoko, Monday Uko, Linus Nkan, Okpolupm Etteh, Ephraim Inyaneyen, Ekong Sampson, Charles Udoh, Orman Esin and Dr Iniobong Essien.
Others are Dominic Ukpong, Glory Edet, Udo Ekpenyong, Uno Etim Uno, Rapheal Bassey, Victor Bassey, while Sunny Ibuot and Ekemini Umoh were nominated as special advisers.
Speaker of the assembly, Aniekan Bassey, referred the list to the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Public Petitions.
The House directed the committee to report back in seven days.
